In Union Guys, a short film, the Detroit Newspaper strike of 1995 tests the friendship of three friends as they attempt to hold the line. Written by Kurt Sinnamon and directed by Kevin Oeser, the film stars Nathaniel Eyde, Andrew James Jones, and Matt Eyde.
Working under the deadline of an upcoming film festival Union Guys' site was created in just a few weeks. The goal of the web site was to create an online presence for this independent, short film. To help market the film off=line, we also created business cards and postcards for the guys to distribute at the festival.
Media Countour was our choice when it came time to promote our Short Film UNION GUYS. We were looking for a simple website, some postcards etc. to supplement our film festival materials. What we got was an outstanding platform from which we, as filmmakers could get our work seen.
From our very first meeting, the creative team at Media Contour 'got it'. We looked at the short, I used a few descriptive terms on which I felt the site should be based, and Media Contour took it from there.
The results exceeded my expectations. The visual feel of the site matches the mood of the film perfectly and the user-friendly and functional layout, allows the viewer to get all of the film's pertinent information easily.
