Using a combination of tagging, 3rd party integrations, mapping, charting programs, Twitter feed integration, and content aggregation we created an extremely powerful one-of-a-kind content management tool for USC using the WordPress Content Management platform.
The focus is to create an internal publishing platform for news and blogs on varying topics of interest.
Our goal is to implement an easily searched repository for relevant news, blogs and topics of interest.
Media Contour developed a powerful and highly scaleable content management and topic curation tool that could eventually be rolled out to other USC departments, and eventually the entire school. USC’s Price School of Public Policy and their design team approached Media Contour to program a highly customized and unique online curation tool.
Ultimately students, faculty, and others can collaborate and curate the topic of their choice using available information and tools online. Features such as using #tags to integrate Twitter feeds into their topic blog, search by date, title, space or event, allow for multiple users to curate at different access levels, use embed code from 3rd parties, chart graphs and graphics, embed videos and photos, were all part of the content management system we developed. We were extremely excited about this project and the opportunity to think creatively and flex our development skills.
