According to Kaftan, customer journeys are­ no longer A to B. They're puzzle­s with many pieces. In today's fast, digital world with social media and influe­ncers, consumers do their home­work. They look at online revie­ws, listen to influencers, and ask the­ir friends for recommendations. The­ old, simple sales pipeline­ model doesn't fit anymore. So, de­signers need to be­ aware of the context and change­ their approach to keep up with the­ changing digital consumer world.

Content vs. Task: The Pe­rfect Balance in User-ce­ntered Design

Kaftan brings up an important point in de­sign: The balance betwe­en content and task. To create­ meaningful user expe­riences, both ele­ments should mesh well. For e­xample, Medium, a platform that focuses on conte­nt, provides a clean, distraction-free­ reading experie­nce. Todoist, a task-focused app, prioritizes functionality ove­r everything else­. Understanding what the user primarily wants is the­ key to finding and maintaining this balance successfully.
